Exceptional Bioanalytical Opportunity in San Diego!

Respected and growing biotech in San Diego is seeking a Senior Scientist to perform bioanalytical method development, validation and sample analysis under GLP and non-GLP guidelines, supporting pre-clinical and clinical studies. The Senior Scientist will be working on developing and validation of LC/MS/MS (API 5000) methods for the quantitation of drugs/metabolites.

Responsibilities:

Develop and validate LC/MS/MS methods for the quantitation of drugs - metabolites in biological matrices, including ultra-sensitive methods.
Coordinates and monitors bioanalytical method transfer and sample analysis activities in CRO.
Maintain and operate API4000 and API5000 LC/MS/MS instruments and other equipment
Present data at group meetings, both internal and external, write scientific papers
Write SOP's analytical and validation reports
May supervise, and or train less experienced staff

Requirements:

In-depth knowledge of LC/MS/MS techniques and sample preparation
Strong communications skills and the ability to succeed in a collaborative, enthusiastic environment
Minimum of M.S. in Analytical Chemistry or related discipline
Experience working with API3000 or API4000
Industry experience

Preferred Requirements:

PhD in Analytical Chemistry or related discipline
A minimum of two years CRO or industrial hands-on experience in bioanalytical method development - validation and sample analysis using LC/MS/MS techniques
Experience working in a GLP environment
