Manufacturing Engineering Manager
Growing medical device manufacturer located in the Northern Chesapeake Bay region (MD, DE Or PA) is looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Manager who can plan, direct and implement projects to improve manufacturing processes for existing products and the transfer of new products into manufacturing. This is a key leadership role at this site that develops and manufactures a wide range of Class II and III medical devices. This person will have 8 direct reports and responsibility for planning and maintaining department budgets and capital expenditures.

Job Requirements
8-15 years of engineering experience supporting production operations in a medical device manufacturing facility.
At least 3 years progressive engineering management experience.
Experience planning and maintaining engineering department budgets and in analyzing and planning capital expenditures.
Experience managing and mentoring a group of engineers in critical thinking, problem solving, analysis and technical project management.
Experience in a diverse range of manufacturing processes to include some combination of the following: automated assembly, manual assembly, injection molding, extrusion, thermoforming, heat sealing/heat forming, grinding, tipping, gluing/curing, hydrophilic coating, grinding, milling, casting, polishing, lamination, sterilization.
Strong lean manufacturing, six sigma and sustaining engineering skills.
