Project Engineer - Medical Device Manufacturing

Global leader in the development and production of life saving medical devices seeks a project engineer to manage essential engineering projects at the company's flagship site near Daytona Beach, FL. This will include process improvement projects as well as capital projects. The Project Engineer will be engaged in engineering design, specification, scoping, installation and validation. In addition to management of various projects, this will be a hands on role.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably mechanical engineering
5+ years experience in engineering in a manufacturing environment with a strong preference for medical devices; candidates out of other highly regulated manufacturing, such as automotive, pharmaceuticals, food or GMP will be considered
Experience working in an ISO 13485 environment preferred
Project management experience, with documented experience with full cycle engineering project management, developing project plans and timelines, including design or redesign, project definition, estimation, installation, commissioning and validation.
Working knowledge of CMMS, computer aided drawing
Working knowledge of material properties, pneumatic systems design and machining processes
Mechanical design skills with a working knowledge of electrical controls, motors and feedback components
Experience reading and producing mechanical drawings
Experience interpreting electrical schematics and PLC logic
Excellent communications skills, oral, written and interpersonal
